The J250 Initiative is dedicated to sharing foundational stories of Jewish American heroism, sacrifice, innovation, and leadership over the past 250 years. Jewish Americans haven't just lived in America; we have helped build the America we love today – from the battlefields of the Revolution to the frontiers of modern science.
For too long, foundational stories of Jewish American heroism, sacrifice, and leadership have remained undertold and untaught. The 250th anniversary of America offers a once-in-a-generation window to change the narrative. The J250 Initiative moves decisively away from a defensive, reactive posture against antisemitism and toward an inspiring, proactive celebration of contributions from the "Jewish Golden Age" within the United States.
Our content rescues extraordinary profiles from historical obscurity, spanning from the American Revolution to recent history. These include figures such as Haym Salomon, Francis Salvador, Gertrude Elion, Tibor Rubin, and hundreds of other Jewish-Americans whose transformative legacies shaped our great nation.
